Ani Hakobyan

Ani Hakobyan has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Ani began their career in 2002 as a Projects Manager at Youth For Achievements NGO, where they managed multiple projects until 2008. In 2007, they also worked as a Lecturer at the Russian-Armenian Slavonic University, teaching English language courses.

Hakobyan joined Grant Thornton Armenia in 2008 and held multiple positions within the firm. Ani served as the Head of Marketing and Communications, overseeing the development and implementation of marketing strategies, public relations, and advertising. Ani also ensured the firm's presence in the media, press, expos, and conferences. In 2020, they were promoted to the Chief Marketing Officer role until their departure in 2020. During their time at Grant Thornton Armenia, they played a key role in enhancing the firm's marketing and communications activities.

In 2014, Hakobyan joined Grant Thornton International Ltd as an Associate Director for the EMEA & CIS regions. In this role, they provided support to Grant Thornton firms in the CIS region and Mongolia in the implementation of marketing, communications, and business development strategies. Ani organized regional meetings, events, and initiatives while ensuring compliance with global brand standards. Ani also coordinated key account programs to help grow the businesses of member firms.

Recently, in 2021, Hakobyan joined the EBRD as a Consultant for their Grow Your Consultancy Business program. Ani is leveraging their expertise to assist consultancy businesses in their growth strategies.

Additionally, they serve as a Board Member for YOU FOR ARMENIA, further contributing to the community and non-profit sector.

Ani Hakobyan completed their Master's degree in English Language and Literature, General from Yerevan State Linguistic University between 2000 and 2005. Ani then pursued further education and is currently enrolled in an Executive MBA program at the City College of University of York, which they are expected to complete between 2021 and 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Ani Hakobyan has obtained two additional certifications. In February 2022, they became a CIM MCIM Member through the CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing. Prior to that, in June 2020, they obtained a Digital Marketing - Foundational certification from Grant Thornton International Ltd.
