Gareth Kelly

Gareth Kelly is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public sector assurance, currently serving as a Director at Grant Thornton UK LLP since December 2015. In this role, Gareth leads the Public Sector Assurance Team in Carlisle, delivering external and internal audit services to a diverse range of public sector organizations while providing valuable advisory services in financial management, governance, risk, and leadership culture. Prior to this, Gareth owned Mullaghmore House Enterprises and held several positions at Grant Thornton LLP, including Senior Manager and Public Sector Assurance Manager. Additionally, Gareth has experience as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Higham Hall College and served as an Audit Manager at the Audit Commission, specializing in risk management. Gareth holds an FCCA from Liverpool John Moores University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
