Karen Nye is an experienced communications professional with a diverse background in media and economic analysis. Currently serving as the Director of Communications for the Office of the Chief Economist at KPMG, Karen also holds the position of Director of Multimedia Strategy at Grant Thornton LLP, where collaboration with Chief Economist Diane Swonk focuses on enhancing media visibility and expanding client services. Previous roles include Communications & Multimedia Strategist at Diane Swonk Economics, where Karen developed strategic communications for a start-up firm, and Managing Director of Multimedia Communications at Mesirow Financial, responsible for media strategies for the Economic Analysis group. With experience as a financial reporter for BBC News and various editorial positions at NBC, CNBC, and CNN, Karen has demonstrated significant expertise in business news production and communication. Karen holds a Master of Science in Economics from The London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in English and American Literature from the University of Florida.
