Carlos Torres Rivera, ing., P. Eng., MM, PMP

Carlos Torres Rivera has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Starting in 2005, they worked at Cerveceria Polar C.A. Planta Modelo, Venezuela, where they designed a chlorine scrubber for the water treatment plant and analyzed the beer pipe design. Carlos also organized the bottling room for increased production and reduced mechanical failures. From 2006 to 2009, Carlos worked at Empresas Polar as a project analyst, overseeing mechanical system installations and preparing cost and time estimates. At McGill University, they pursued a Master's degree in Manufacturing Management and obtained Six Sigma's Green Belt certification. In 2010, they joined Wire Rope Industries as a demand manager, where they implemented a DRP system and was responsible for monthly billing forecasting. At The Kraft Heinz Company, they served as a project engineer, managing the implementation of capital projects and supporting continuous improvement activities. At Laporte Consultants, Carlos worked as a project manager, focusing on concept development to final start-up, designing powerhouse systems for brewery greenfield plants and overseeing asset relocation projects. Most recently, they joined Grantek in 2017 as a project manager in the ePMO. Overall, Carlos has demonstrated expertise in project management, engineering design, and process improvement across various industries.

Carlos Torres Rivera, ing., P. Eng., MM, PMP has a solid education history that spans over multiple years. Carlos began their education in 1987 at Colegio Alemán de Maracaibo, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Science in 2000. Following this, they pursued higher education at Universidad del Zulia from 2001 to 2006, earning a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

In 2009, Carlos continued their education at McGill University, where they achieved a Master's degree in Manufacturing Management, Supply Chain, and Global Operations in 2010.
