Dr. Suresh Vangaru

Dr. Suresh Vangaru, Ph.D. has a strong background in API-R&D and pharmaceutical research. Dr. Suresh is currently working as an API-R&D Manager at Granules India Limited since 2022. Prior to this, they held the same position at Biophore India Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. from 2020 to 2021. During this role, they led a group of 8-10 scientists and had expertise in API process R&D.

Before that, Dr. Vangaru worked as a Manager at Piramal Pharma Solutions from 2017 to 2020. In this role, they led a team of 8-10 chemists and was responsible for up-scaling processes from the lab to pilot plant. Dr. Suresh also focused on process optimization, method validation, troubleshooting, and collaborating with the Analytical department.

From 2014 to 2017, Dr. Vangaru served as a Senior Research Officer at Glenmark Generics Ltd. Here, they demonstrated expertise in literature search, process optimization, polymorph, and cost reduction. Dr. Suresh also played a key role in preparing API processes and impurities for DMF filing.

Dr. Vangaru began their career in 2004 as a Research Chemist at Bhagiradha Chemicals & Industries Ltd. Dr. Suresh later worked at Sai Life Sciences Ltd as a Research Scientist and Associate Research Scientist - II, handling teams of 3-5 chemists.

Dr. Suresh Vangaru, Ph.D. began their education in 1997 at C.R.C Residential College, Gullapalli, Cherukupalli (MD), where they pursued a Board of Intermediate, A.P degree in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry until 1999. Dr. Suresh continued their studies at S.V.R.M College, Nagaram from 1999 to 2001, obtaining a Bachelor's Degree with a focus on Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. Dr. Vangaru then attended Andhra University from 2002 to 2004, where they earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Organic Chemistry.

Moving forward, Dr. Vangaru pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology from 2005 to 2010. During this time, they published a remarkable 16 publications and specialized in the total synthesis of bio-active natural products, which involved approximately 20-25 steps per molecule.

After completing their PhD, Dr. Vangaru carried out a two-year Post-Doctoral Research experience at Pohang University of Science and Technology from 2010 to 2012. Dr. Suresh 'sresearch focused on the design and synthesis of new imidazolium, urea, and pyrrole based anion receptors. Throughout this post-doctoral period, they published three publications.
