Crystal Northcott

Crystal Northcott has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Crystal started their career in 2007 as a Registered Nurse at Eastern Health, where they held several leadership and management positions. These roles included Division Manager for Pediatric Emergency, Critical Care, Social Work, and Psychology, as well as Division Manager for Child Development and Rehab. In these positions, they managed and provided leadership to a large staff, implemented quality initiatives, and supported program accreditation.

In addition to their roles at Eastern Health, Crystal also worked as a Regional Program Consultant for Children's & Women's Health, where they were responsible for program policy development, quality monitoring, and strategic planning. Crystal also worked as an Admission Discharge Manager, facilitating patient flow and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for efficient service delivery.

Crystal's experience also includes working as a Co-founder + Medical Simulation Educator at Granville Biomedical Inc., where they contributed to medical simulation education. Crystal was also a Nursing Instructor at Memorial University of Newfoundland, where they shared their expertise with aspiring nurses.

Furthermore, Crystal has experience in the medical technology industry, having worked as a Clinical Application Specialist at Draeger Medical Systems, Inc. In this role, they collaborated with healthcare facility administrators to develop educational programs on cardiac monitoring devices and troubleshoot installation challenges.

Currently, Crystal serves as the Provincial Operations Manager at NL Health Services, where they oversee operations. Overall, Crystal Northcott has demonstrated strong leadership, management, and educational skills throughout their career in the healthcare industry.

Crystal Northcott has a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Memorial University of Newfoundland, which they obtained from 2003 to 2007. Crystal later pursued a Master's degree in Nursing from the same university from 2008 to 2014. Crystal also completed a Lean Process Improvement (Yellow Belt) program at Eastern Health in 2019. Additionally, they achieved certification as a Health Executive from the Canadian College of Health Leaders in 2020.
