Chih Yen Chen

Chih Yen Chen has been working in the technology industry since 2008. In 2008, they were a Master Student at the Electromagnetic Wave Engineering Lab at Yuan Ze University, where they developed an automatic electromagnetic optimization technique applicable to antenna design that integrated genetic algorithm with electromagnetic simulation software of Ansoft HFSS. In 2010, they were an Ensign in the Taiwan Navy. From 2011-2016, they were a Senior RF Engineer at Compal Electronics Inc., where they designed different wireless technology applications on product type (tablets, laptops, AIO and hybrid laptop with 360-degree hinges) and supported mass production. Chih Yen also investigated approaches applied to mitigating desense for OTA requirements, and implemented solutions for DFM (Design for Manufacturability). From 2016-2019, they were a Senior RF Engineer at Wistron NeWeb Corp., where they designed different wireless technology applications on Router and Digital Media Player, allowing major telecommunications company to sell products on global markets. Finally, since 2019 they have been a Software Engineer at Graphen, where they create and schedules data analysis workflows and handles data and requests in asynchronous tasks, as well as setting up a private Docker registry over HTTPS with token authentication.

Chih Yen Chen earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications Engineering from Yuan-Ze University in 2017. In 2018, they earned a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Columbia University. Chih Yen also holds a Master of Science in Communications Engineering from Yuan-Ze University.
