Waqas Alam

Waqas Alam is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in distributed systems and routing protocols, currently serving as a Software Engineer in Distributed Systems at Graphiant since August 2022. Previous roles include Senior Staff Software Engineer at NetSpring, Staff Software Engineer at LinkedIn, and Software Engineer at SnapRoute, Inc. Waqas has further demonstrated expertise in the routing domain during a tenure as Staff Engineer 2 at VMware and a Technical Leader at Cisco, where significant contributions included the development of the Non Stop Routing feature for BGP. Waqas holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
