Steve Scherger

Steve Scherger has a long and diverse work experience in the packaging industry. Steve began their career at Mead Corporation in 1986, where they held various roles in finance and business management. In 1990, they became the Director of Business Management at Mead Data Central. Steve then moved on to be the Director of Corporate Planning before becoming the CFO of Beverage Packaging in 1994. From 1996 to 1998, Scherger served as the Vice President for Asia Pacific and Latin America in the Beverage Packaging division. Steve then became the CFO of the Paper Division before moving on to their next company. In 2000, they joined MeadWestvaco as the Vice President and General Manager for the Americas in the Beverage Packaging division. Steve held various leadership positions in the company, including Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Business Transformation, President of Beverage, Media, and Consumer Electronics, and President of Beverage and Consumer Electronics. Steve Scherger joined Graphic Packaging International in 2012 as the SVP of the Consumer Packaging Division. Steve later took on the role of SVP of Finance before becoming the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 2015.

Steve Scherger earned their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a major in Accounting from Bowling Green State University in the years 1982 to 1986. Later, from 1986 to 1989, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance from the University of Cincinnati.
