Surbhi Patil

Surbhi Patil is currently a Student Assistant specializing in GIS and Sustainability at GRAS - Global Risk Assessment Services since November 2022. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Associate at the Applied Environmental Research Foundation, where responsibilities encompassed landscape-level analysis of forest and mangrove degradation, watershed analysis, forest cover change detection, and ecosystem services assessment using geospatial techniques. Additionally, experience as a Summer Intern at the Maharashtra Remote Sensing Application Center involved fundamentals of remote sensing, GIS, data analysis, processing, and cartography. Surbhi's academic background includes a Master's degree in Natural Resources Management and Policy from Cologne University of Applied Sciences, a PGD in Remote Sensing and GIS from the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, an MSc in Geology from Savitribai Phule Pune University, and a Bachelor's degree in Geology from Fergusson College.
