Grass Skirt Project (GSP) is a Pacific feminist organisation building structural gender infrastructure across Papua New Guinea — using sport as the trusted community language for safety, equity, and lasting change.

We don't run programs. We build conditions.

Across PNG, young people face gender-based violence, limited access to health services, and few visible leadership pathways. These are not attitude problems. They are systems problems. Systems problems require infrastructure solutions.

What we build. Three integrated programs. One structural system.

1. Gymbox — permanent community hubs offering health, fitness, education, and leadership pathways. Infrastructure that outlasts every grant.
2. 10 Million Strong — a trauma-informed, youth co-designed leadership curriculum embedded inside school timetables across PNG. Not a visit. A fixture.

3. Hevea Cup and Wellness Expo — a national rugby tournament and health activation. 8,000+ annually. 91% share what they learn with family and community.

The evidence.

An independently validated Forecast SROI projects USD $22.5M in social value between 2026–2030 — a 7.9:1 return. Youth account for over $11M of that value — not as beneficiaries, but as architects of change.

GSP is a trusted delivery and evidence partner for bilateral donors, development finance institutions, corporates, and governments seeking long-term, measurable impact in gender equity and youth leadership.

Young people and communities are not the recipients of this work. They are its architects.
