Markus Oberauer

Markus Oberauer has a wealth of experience in software development and engineering. Markus currently holds the position of Global Head of Software Development at Grassfish, where they have been since July 2021. Prior to that, they were the Head of Software Development at the same company from March 2021 to June 2021.

Before joining Grassfish, Markus worked at BEKO Engineering & Informatik GmbH from 2017 to 2020. Markus served as the Head of Software Engineering from September 2019 to December 2020, and as the Teamlead Software Engineering from May 2017 to September 2019. Markus also briefly held the position of Senior Software Engineer at BEKO Engineering & Informatik GmbH from March 2017 to May 2017.

From 2010 to 2016, Markus worked as a Senior Software Developer and ScrumMaster at AIM Software GmbH. Prior to that, they were a Senior Software Developer at mobil-data from June 2007 to July 2009. Their career in software development began at T-Mobile Austria in September 2000, where they worked as a Software Developer until May 2005.

Markus Oberauer started their education in 1993 and completed their Matura in Nachrichtentechnik/Elektronik/Technische Informatik at HTBLA Braunau in 1999. From 2000 to 2005, they attended TU Wien and studied Technische Informatik. Additionally, Markus has obtained various certifications throughout their career, including IREB CPRE Foundation Level (CPRE-FL) from Certible in November 2017 and English Intermediate from SPIDI.communicating in December 2002. Markus also acquired K1000 - Professioneller Einstieg in Oracle SQL from Oracle in September 2002, REFA - Prozessdatenmanagement from ÖPWZ in June 1999, Certified Project Management Associate IPMA Level D from pma - Projekt Management Austria in October 2018, and Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance in October 2011.
