Principal Clinical Data Scientist at Gravie

Niketa Walawalkar has a diverse range of work experience, starting with research and assessment roles at the University of Minnesota's Schulze Diabetes Institute. Niketa then became an intern at the Minnesota Department of Health before moving on to work as a coordinator for the Center for Health Statistics at the Florida Department of Health. Niketa later joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, where they held multiple roles including senior analyst, healthcare analyst, epidemiologist, and senior epidemiologist. Following that, they worked at UnitedHealth Group as a principal data scientist for two years before joining BioIntelliSense, Inc in the same role. Niketa returned to UnitedHealth Group as a principal data scientist and data science consultant, and most recently, they are currently employed as the principal clinical data scientist at Gravie.

Niketa Walawalkar holds an MBBS degree in Medicine from the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. Niketa also completed an MPH degree from the University of Minnesota. Additionally, they have obtained additional certifications including courses on generative AI APIs and prompt engineering for ChatGPT from Coursera, as well as executive education on building and leading effective teams from Columbia Business School. Niketa has also completed courses on computational thinking and data science, as well as computer science and programming using Python from Massachusetts Institute of Technology | edX.
