Michalis Malafekas

Michalis Malafekas, CFA, currently serves as Partner of Investment Strategy at Gravity Private Wealth since March 2023, an investment advisory firm catering to entrepreneurs, ultra high net worth families, and institutions. Prior to this role, Malafekas worked at Goldman Sachs as a Portfolio Manager from May 2021 to February 2023, where responsibilities included oversight within the Portfolio Management Group EMEA in Private Wealth Management. Earlier experience includes serving as Vice President of Quantitative & Multi-Asset Class Investments at Neuberger Berman from April 2017 to April 2021, focusing on asset allocation strategies, and as a Trader in Quantitative & Multi-Asset Class Investments at Insight Investment from September 2014 to April 2017, specializing in quantitative FX strategies. Malafekas began career as a Financial Analyst at EXUS between May 2012 and February 2013. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Investment Management (with Distinction) from Bayes Business School and a Diploma in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
