Software Engineer at Gravity Sketch

Tommy Kong has worked in the software engineering and game programming fields since 2021. In 2021, they began working as a Game Programmer for UnifiQ, where they designed and implemented various gameplay systems and tools with a data-driven design focus. This included a quest system, story tree system, custom events system, dialogue tree system, interaction system, mechanics and gameplay of various puzzle and combat quests, and AI programming of behaviour trees for NPCs. Tommy also created tools such as story tree and dialogue tree editors, and other data driven systems to allow for ease of use by the game designers. Tommy worked in an iterative and agile environment, updating a released demo build of the game on Steam on a weekly/bi-weekly basis based on feedback from focus groups. Tommy wrote documentation for hand-off. In 2022, Tommy began working as a Software Engineer for Gravity Sketch.

Tommy Kong's education history includes completing GCSEs at Dereham Neatherd High School from 2011 to 2016, A-Levels at Fitzwimarc Sixth Form from 2016 to 2018, and a Computing degree in Visual Computing & Robotics at Imperial College London from 2018 to 2022.
