Nicholas Ertel

Nicholas Ertel, P.E. is a seasoned refrigeration engineering professional with extensive experience in project management and engineering roles. Currently serving as the Manager of Refrigeration Engineering at Gray AES since January 2025, Nicholas previously held similar positions at Gray from September 2021 to December 2024, including Senior Refrigeration Engineer and Refrigeration Engineer. Prior experience includes a role as Design Project Manager at Stellar from June 2016 to August 2021, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing engineering projects, managing budgets, schedules, and customer interfaces, along with ensuring quality and compliance with current codes. Nicholas began the career as an Assistant Project Manager at Republic Refrigeration from February 2012 to February 2016 and briefly worked as Guest Relations Game Day Staff for the Carolina Panthers in 2011. Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
