Anna M. Virene

Anna Virene focuses her practice on structuring and negotiating a variety of secured and unsecured commercial lending transactions across a myriad of industries, including loans to operating companies, energy sector lending, equity and asset acquisition financing, bridge-to-call loan facilities, Ex-Im Bank (Export-Import Bank of the United States) financing, loans to not-for-profit institutions, railcar financing, floor plan financing, equipment financing, and acquisition, construction, and renovation real estate loans. Her experience includes representation of lenders in bilateral facilities, as well as administrative agents and syndicate bank lenders in syndicated credit facilities. Anna also represents lenders in troubled debt workouts, restructurings, and real and personal property foreclosures.

As Leader of the firm’s Banking & Finance Practice Group, Anna oversees a high-caliber team of lawyers capable of protecting clients and achieving their goals through the commercial lending process, from the preparation and negotiation of loan documents and amendments to exercising rights and remedies thereunder.

Anna currently serves as Co-Chair of Gray Reed's Houston Women's Forum, a group comprised of the office’s female attorneys who are dedicated to the empowerment and growth of women, personally and professionally.
