Emmet Lee

Emmet Lee has a diverse work experience in the medical field, spanning over several decades. Emmet has held various roles and positions in different companies. Currently, they are working as the SNF Utilization Review Physician Liaison at Sharp Community Medical Group since 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Medical Director of the Vista del Lago Memory Care Unit at Vista del Lago Memory Care from 2020. Before that, they worked as a Physician and Medical Director of the SNF Team at Graybill Medical Group starting from 2016. Emmet has also served as a Medical Director at Meadowbrook Village Christian Retirement Community, Escondido Post Acute Rehab, and Ocean View Post Acute (formerly Lifecare Center of Escondido). In addition, they have held the position of President and Chief Medical Officer at LightBridge Medical Associates and worked as the Medical Director at LightBridge Hospice. Emmet began their career as a Physician and Treasurer at Palomar Medical Group, where they saw geriatric and adult internal medicine patients in various settings and also handled financial responsibilities. Emmet also served as the Medical Director at Palomar Vista Healthcare Center.

Emmet attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1984 to 1988, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering. During the same time period, they also attended The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) and earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Medicine.

After completing their MD, Emmet Lee pursued further education at UTHealth Houston. From 1988 to 1992, they enrolled in the Internal Medicine Residency Program, specializing in Internal Medicine.

In addition to their academic degrees, Emmet Lee obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 1989, they obtained a Doctor of Medicine license (inactive) from the Texas Medical Board. In 1992, they acquired a Physician and Surgeon License from the Medical Board Of California. Emmet also became Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine in January 1992.

Emmet Lee's dedication to their field led him to earn certifications in specialized areas. In 1997, they became a Certified Medical Director in Long Term Care (CMD) through The PALTC Foundation for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine. In 2010, they earned the title of Fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and was also Board Certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Furthermore, Emmet Lee obtained multiple certifications related to electronic health record implementation. Emmet achieved Meaningful Use Stage 1 Year 2 certifications from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in 2012 and 2013. In 2014, they obtained a Meaningful Use Stage 2 Year 1 certification from the same institution.
