Robotics Engineer at GrayMatter Robotics

Avadhoot Ahire's work experience begins with their current role as a Robotics Engineer at GrayMatter Robotics, which they started in January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Robotics Engineer at the same company from January 2021 until December 2021.

Before joining GrayMatter Robotics, Avadhoot served as a Graduate Apprentice Trainee at Mahindra Group from September 2019 to November 2019. During this time, they were assigned to the Engine Assembly department and successfully trained six employees to operate a new cloud-based Critical Parts tracking system. Avadhoot also resolved technical failures in real-time, preventing production losses.

From March 2017 to September 2018, Avadhoot worked as a Vehicle Dynamics Engineer at Team Uttejit. In this role, they designed and tested a disc brake system for a car, reducing the weight of the front and rear discs. Avadhoot also designed an adjustable pedal assembly to accommodate different driver heights and sourced parts from various vendors. Additionally, they received training as a driver for the car.

Prior to their engineering roles, Avadhoot gained leadership experience at VIT_Animation. Avadhoot served as the General Secretary from September 2017 to August 2018, overseeing club activities and negotiating with businesses for sponsorship. Avadhoot also held the position of Core Committee Member from September 2015 to August 2017, organizing events and conducting publicity.

Avadhoot's internship experience includes a role as an Intern at Mazagon Dock Ltd in June 2017. During this time, they studied part drawing in the shipbuilding industry, implemented the 5-S methodology, and gained hands-on experience in welding.

Avadhoot Ahire completed their education in mechanical engineering. Avadhoot obtained a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology from 2015 to 2019. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California from 2020 to 2021. In addition to their formal education, Ahire obtained various certifications, including Basic Image Classification with TensorFlow from Coursera in July 2020, Robotics Software Engineer - Nanodegree from Udacity in June 2020, MATLAB for Mechanical Engineers from Skill-Lync in March 2020, Python for Mechanical Engineers from Skill-Lync in March 2020, and Multibody Dynamics using SolidWorks from Skill-Lync in September 2019.
