Charlie Buchert

Charlie Buchert is a seasoned security architect and IT professional with extensive experience in application security, identity and access management (IAM), and cloud security, currently serving as the Security Architect and Divisional Assistant Vice President at Great American Insurance Group since April 2022. Buchert has been with American Financial Group as a Security Architect since May 2016, focusing on various security areas. Prior roles include IT Architect at Great American Financial Resources, where expertise in multiple technologies was leveraged, and ITO Consultant at Hewlett-Packard, providing high-level engineering support. Buchert began a career in systems analysis with Procter & Gamble, progressing from co-op positions at Digital Equipment Corporation, Ravenswood Aluminum Corporation, and ITI. Buchert holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
