John Dwyer

John Dwyer has over 15 years of experience in the financial industry, holding various positions such as Managing Director, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Compliance Officer. John is currently the CFO & CCO at Great Hill Partners.

John started their career as a Senior Accountant at Parent, McLaughlin & Nangle, CPAs. There, they were responsible for leading small teams through day-to-day fieldwork, drafting client financial statements and footnotes, and participating in the planning stages of assigned audits.

After a few years at Parent, McLaughlin & Nangle, John transitioned to Deutsche Bank where they worked as an Investment Accountant. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the completion of quarterly financial statements and capital reports for all Great Hill funds. John also oversaw the completion of partnership tax returns and K-1s for all Great Hill funds and affiliated entities.

In their current role as CFO & CCO at Great Hill Partners, John is responsible for the preparation and review of fund performance data for firm marketing materials, the coordination and settlement of fund purchase and sale transactions, and assisting in drafting and review of fundraising diligence materials and responses to prospective limited partner information requests. John also participates in prospective limited partner legal review of Great Hill funds and helps facilitate LP closings.

John Dwyer attended Fairfield University and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance with a minor in Accounting. Their studies took place from 1998 to 2003.
