Maria Yacoub

Maria Yacoub has an extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Maria began their career at Julia Travel in 2004 as a Sales Coordinator. After gaining experience there, they moved on to Idiso in 2006 where they worked as a Sales Specialist for the UK, France, and Spain. In 2011, Maria joined Meliá Hotels International as a Reservations and Leisure Groups Agent. Over the years, they progressed within the company and held various positions including MICE Global Account Coordinator and Global Sales Account Manager. In 2019, Maria joined Great Hotels of the World as the Global Sales Director and Director of Sales for the UK and Ireland. Their experience spans across sales, account management, and coordination roles within the industry.

Maria Yacoub completed their Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia, from 1998 to 2002. Their field of study included literatures and linguistics. Later, from 2005 to 2007, Maria pursued a Certificate in Advanced Studies of Theater History at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, specializing in theater.
