Prior to their roles in the hospitality industry, Pedro Colaco served as the CEO of GuestCentric, a company specializing in solutions for the banking, finance, and stock exchange industries. Pedro also held the position of VP Product Management and Marketing at Corvil, where they catered to notable customers such as Lehman Brothers and JP Morgan Chase. Before that, they worked as the VP Marketing at Expand Networks, providing solutions to enterprise customers including the Department of Defense and Citibank.

Pedro Colaco began their career as the Director of Product Management at Unisphere Networks, where they served customers like Deutsche Telekom and NTT. Pedro also held development positions at Siemens, focusing on solutions for service providers and e-commerce websites. Additionally, they worked as a Developer at INESC.

Pedro Colaco began their education at Deutsche Schule Lissabon / Escola Alemã de Lisboa from 1977 to 1986. During this time, they did not obtain any specific degree or field of study. After completing their secondary education, Pedro went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BS EE) and Computer Science at Instituto Superior Técnico from 1986 to 1991. Following their undergraduate studies, Pedro enrolled in an MBA program at Florida Atlantic University in 1996. Unfortunately, due to relocation, they were unable to complete the program.
