Dr. Zena Sakka was born and raised in Homs, Syria. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Kalamoon School of Dentistry in 2012. She then moved to the United States and attended the University of Louisville, where she completed her licensure in 2018. While Dr. Sakka was working as a general dentist, she developed an interest in surgical dentistry, implant dentistry, and periodontal plastic surgery. She then pursued specialty training in Periodontics at the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where she received her specialty certification. During her 3-year intensive specialty program, Dr. Sakka obtained advanced training in atraumatic tooth extractions, dental implant surgery, gum & bone grafting, and oral medicine.
Dr. Sakka is a proud member of the American Academy of Periodontology and actively attends annual meetings, seminars, and workshops, both nationally & internationally.
