Geethani Jayakody, Ph.D, P.E. PMP has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Geethani started their career as a Project Manager/Computer Modeler at Jagger Hims Ltd. from September 2002 to June 2004. Geethani then worked as a Civil Engineer at Haddad Morgan and Associates Ltd. from March 2005 to July 2007. Following that, they joined Tetra Tech (GeoTrans, Inc.) as a Project Engineer from August 2008 to February 2010.

Geethani's most significant role was as a Senior Project Engineer at METCO Services, Inc. from November 2010 to March 2018. During this time, they worked on numerous projects related to water distribution and combined/storm water collection systems networks, hydraulic and hydrology modeling, water resources studies, GIS data and asset management, and municipal infrastructure design. Geethani has extensive experience in hydrology and hydraulics modeling using various commercial software.

Currently, Geethani is working as an Engineer at Great Lakes Water Authority since March 2018.

Geethani Jayakody, Ph.D, P.E. PMP began their education at Central College, Anuradapura. Unfortunately, no specific years or degrees were provided for this part of their education. Geethani then pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Peradeniya, from 1984 to 1990. Following that, Geethani earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Tokyo, which occurred between 1992 and 1994. Finally, they obtained a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University, completing their studies from 1994 to 1998.
