Kate Austin

Kate Austin is an accomplished education professional with extensive experience in curriculum development and educational design. Currently serving as Associate Director for PK-2 Mathematics and Senior Curriculum Developer at Great Minds since March 2013, Kate has also held the position of Grade PK/K Lead Writer. Prior experience includes founding Green Hat Education from January 2012 to December 2019, and serving as a Special Projects Consultant for Arlington Public Schools. Additional roles encompass content development management at Learning Without Tears, directing educational design at Envision EMI, coordinating outreach programs at the National Building Museum, and teaching first grade with Teach for America/Baltimore City Public Schools. Kate holds a Master's degree in Education from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's degree encompassing Architecture, Business Administration, and Women's Studies from the University of Florida.
