Rebecca Burgess

Rebecca Burgess is an experienced educator currently serving as a 3rd Grade Teacher at KIPP Colorado Public Schools since June 2019, where responsibilities include teaching multiple subjects and managing a homeroom. In addition to classroom responsibilities, Rebecca has taken on the role of Grade Level Chair, where the focus is on fostering a positive student culture and promoting academic achievement. Parallel to this role, Rebecca facilitates professional development for educators nationwide with Great Minds. Previously, Rebecca held a leadership position as Assistant Principal and Interim School Leader at KIPP New Jersey, contributing to curriculum design and teacher development, along with founding the 5th and 6th grade at BOLD Academy. With a solid foundation in teaching and leadership developed through various roles and extensive professional development, including recognition as a Teaching Ambassador with NAATE, Rebecca is dedicated to enhancing educational practices and supporting student growth. Rebecca holds a Master of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in Remedial Reading from Sacred Heart University and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from St. Olaf College.
