Leslie Lacy has had a long and varied career in the healthcare industry. Leslie began their career in 1989 as the Director of Nursing (DON) at Stanton County Hospital. In 1992, they moved to Traveling Nurses PRN as a Registered Nurse (RN). In 1993, they became the Administrator of Cheyenne County Hospital. In 2011, they joined the Board of Directors at the Sunflower Foundation. Most recently, in 2012, they were appointed Vice President for Regional Operations at Great Plains Health Alliance. In this role, they provide guidance to hospital boards, CEOs, department managers and medical staff using principals of good governance. Leslie is also required to have knowledge in hospital finances, revenue cycle, rules and regulations, construction, HIPAA, EMTALA, medical staff issues, HR, corporate compliance, community relations, legislation, and process improvement.
Leslie Lacy attended Colorado State University Pueblo from 1975 to 1979, where they earned a BA in Biology. Leslie then attended Garden City Community College from 1980 to 1982, where they earned an ADN in Nursing.
