Amy Ward is a Senior Policy Associate at the Great Plains Institute since August 2022, previously serving as a Policy Associate. Prior experience includes roles such as Organizational Tutor at Beloit College, where responsibilities involved advising students on organizational strategies and providing support for academic resources. As a Legislative Policy Intern at Midwest Environmental Advocates, Amy researched state-level environmental legislation and contributed to discussions on the legislative process. Field research was conducted on race and diversity in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness at Wilderness Field Station, with findings presented at a conference. Additionally, experience as a Clean Energy Program Extern at Earthjustice involved policy research on climate and energy topics. Amy holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies: Justice & Citizenship and French from Beloit College and participated in the Washington Semester Program in Sustainable Development at American University.
