Amera Poppen

Amera Poppen is a Substation Engineer II at Great River Energy, with a career that began as a Substation Engineering Intern at the same company, progressing to an Electrical Engineer I position at Black & Veatch. With experience in developing line protection relay settings, updating system short circuit models, creating safety study programs, and collaborating on AC/DC schematic drawings, Amera has contributed to significant engineering projects since December 2018. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Amera holds a degree in Computer Engineering, earned in 2021.
