Tyler Porter

Tyler Porter is a seasoned electrical and electronics engineer with extensive experience in substation engineering and system protection. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer in Substation Engineering at Great River Energy since January 2019, Tyler specializes in system protection and relay/control design. Prior roles include positions at HDR, where responsibilities encompassed substation system protection and protective relaying schemes, and at Xcel Energy, focusing on substation commissioning and field engineering internships. Tyler's background in large-scale wind turbine installation projects at Blattner Energy and various roles during early career internships further emphasizes a comprehensive understanding of the electrical engineering field. Tyler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of St. Thomas.
