Aaron Young

Aaron Young has extensive work experience in various managerial roles in the theater and marketing industry. Aaron served as the Managing Director at the Great River Shakespeare Festival from December 2016 to present. Prior to that, they were the Managing Director at The Fulton Theatre from December 2003 to August 2016. Aaron also worked as the General Manager at the Kansas City Repertory Theatre from October 2002 to November 2003. Aaron Young has worked at the Sundance Institute as the Managing Director of the Theatre Program from March 1997 to October 2002. Aaron started their career as a Marketing Manager at Equity Properties and Development Company, where they were responsible for regional shopping centers in Utah and Arizona. From September 2016 to November 2016, they worked as a Member Services Associate at the Lancaster Family YMCA.

Aaron Young attended Oakton High School, where they completed their secondary education in 1985. After graduating from high school, they went on to study at Brigham Young University, where they received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre/Theater.

Great River Shakespeare Festival

Founded in 2004, the Great River Shakespeare Festival in Winona, MN offers clearly-spoken, professional productions of Shakespeare's plays along with education workshops, concerts, conversations, and special events. Season 9 runs June 20th to August 5th, 2011 and includes "King Lear,"​ "The Two Gentlemen of Verona,"​ and "The Compleat Wrks of Wllm Shkspr (abridged)."​ GRSF employs about 100 theater professionals in May, June and July in all areas of technical theater, design, administration and performance as well as interns and apprentices.
