Patrick J Byrne MD FACS MBA has a diverse and extensive work experience in the medical field. Patrick J started their career in 2001 at Johns Hopkins Medicine, where they held various roles including Professor, Medical Director of The Johns Hopkins Ambulatory Surgery Center, and Director of the Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In 2020, they joined the Cleveland Clinic as the Chairman of the Head and Neck Institute.
In addition to their clinical positions, Dr. Byrne has been involved in various leadership roles and advisory positions. Patrick J served on the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery starting in 2012. Patrick J also co-founded and served as CEO for BD Healthcare Ventures, LLC and co-founded HALE LLC. Furthermore, they held the role of Chief Medical Officer at Aegeria Soft Tissue LLC, where they played a key role in the development of a novel biomaterial. Patrick J also served as the Co-Medical Director for the Greater Baltimore Cleft Lip and Palate Team at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center.
Dr. Byrne's contributions extend beyond their clinical practice, as they have served as an Advisory Board Member for Everseat and the Hospital Metropolitano Vivian Pellas. Throughout their career, Dr. Byrne has demonstrated expertise and leadership in the field of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Patrick J Byrne has a Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from California Lutheran University. Patrick J completed their Residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at UC San Diego. Patrick also completed a Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Minnesota. Patrick J holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from UC San Diego School of Medicine. Additionally, Patrick obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The Wharton School. Patrick J is also certified by the American College of Surgeons.
