Angelica Medina is the Program Manager at Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce. Angelica has also worked as an Event Services Coordinator for the Boston Red Sox, a Production Assistant for ESPN, and a Sports Intern and Athletics Intern for Merrimack College and North Shore Navigators, respectively.
Angelica Medina has always had a passion for sports. Angelica grew up playing softball, basketball, and volleyball and was a three-sport captain in high school. After graduating, they knew they wanted to pursue a career in the sports industry.
Angelica started their career as a Press Box Intern for the North Shore Navigators, a summer collegiate baseball team. Angelica then became an Athletics Intern for their alma mater, Merrimack College, before landing a job as a Sports Intern at WHDH Channel 7. There, they were responsible for logging and transcribing player interviews, checking major sports websites for breaking news, and assisting camera crew to live sports games.
In August 2017, they began working as a Production Assistant for ESPN. In this role, they accurately identified, clipped and headlined timely one-play highlights in a digital broadcast facility for distribution for various digital/social media platforms. Angelica also prepared game highlights and moments with a digital audience in mind.
In May 2018, they left ESPN to become the Event Services Coordinator for the Boston Red Sox. In this role, they were responsible for executing all logistics related to special events and group outings at Fenway Park.
In October 2020, Angelica Medina transitioned to their current role as Program Manager at Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce. In this role, they oversee the Chamber’s events and programs including the Annual Meeting, Leadership Programs, Small Business Initiative, and Young Professional Network.
Angelica Medina has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communication and Media Studies from Merrimack College. Angelica also has a certification from the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce in Transformational DEI Certificate.
