Daniel Jacobson is a dedicated legal professional currently serving as a Staff Attorney for the Covid Eviction Legal Help Project at Greater Boston Legal Services since February 2021, representing tenants facing eviction. Previous experiences include a legal internship at the New England Innocence Project, conducting investigations into potential innocence claims, and serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at Boston College Law School. Daniel has also interned at the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office, where legal briefs were drafted, and the US Attorneys' Office for the District of Massachusetts, focusing on federal civil rights law compliance. Additional roles include a Summer Law Clerk for the City of Newton Law Department, an English Second Language Teacher, and earlier positions in the food service industry and as an Assistant Case Manager at the New England Innocence Project. Daniel holds a Doctor of Law degree from Boston College Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in American History and Business from Brandeis University.

Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS) plays an indispensable role in the lives of poor people in the Boston area by providing free, high-quality civil (noncriminal) legal assistance to low-income individuals and families. GBLS helps its clients navigate the complex maze of laws and regulations, enabling them to obtain the basic necessities of life. GBLS annually provides assistance to over 10,000 people who live at or below 125% of the federal poverty standard ($30,750 for a family of 4).
