Dave McKenna is a professional with a diverse background in education, engineering, and law. Currently serving as an Equal Justice Works Legal Fellow at Greater Boston Legal Services, Dave previously held roles such as Vice President of Practice Standards at Harvard Legal Aid Bureau. With a JD from Harvard Law School and a B.S in Mechanical Engineering Design & Economics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Dave brings a unique skill set to their work in the legal field. Prior to their legal career, Dave was involved in education as a physics teacher and manager of teacher leadership development.

Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS) plays an indispensable role in the lives of poor people in the Boston area by providing free, high-quality civil (noncriminal) legal assistance to low-income individuals and families. GBLS helps its clients navigate the complex maze of laws and regulations, enabling them to obtain the basic necessities of life. GBLS annually provides assistance to over 10,000 people who live at or below 125% of the federal poverty standard ($30,750 for a family of 4).
