De’Von Douglass is a seasoned professional in diversity, equity, and inclusion, currently serving as the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Greater Boston Legal Services since September 2021. Douglass also founded Aurora Advising, a consulting firm focused on inclusion and justice, and previously held positions such as Director of Community Engagement for Harris County and Chief Resilience Officer for the City of Tulsa, where significant contributions included developing environmental strategies and community engagement systems. Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS) plays an indispensable role in the lives of poor people in the Boston area by providing free, high-quality civil (noncriminal) legal assistance to low-income individuals and families. GBLS helps its clients navigate the complex maze of laws and regulations, enabling them to obtain the basic necessities of life. GBLS annually provides assistance to over 10,000 people who live at or below 125% of the federal poverty standard ($30,750 for a family of 4).
