Taylor Whitwell is a Juris Doctor candidate at New England Law | Boston, specializing in Immigration and International Law. Currently serving as a Legal Intern at Greater Boston Legal Services since August 2023, Taylor has gained hands-on experience in asylum, VAWA, and U status cases, including assisting in drafting an appeal for the Board of Immigration Appeals. Previously, Taylor interned at Savitz Law Offices, P.C. during the summer of 2022, where responsibilities included assembling visa petition packages. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas, completed in May 2021.

Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS) plays an indispensable role in the lives of poor people in the Boston area by providing free, high-quality civil (noncriminal) legal assistance to low-income individuals and families. GBLS helps its clients navigate the complex maze of laws and regulations, enabling them to obtain the basic necessities of life. GBLS annually provides assistance to over 10,000 people who live at or below 125% of the federal poverty standard ($30,750 for a family of 4).
