Mary Pelican is an accomplished finance leader with extensive experience in the nonprofit and healthcare sectors. Currently serving as the Vice President of Finance at Greater Chicago Food Depository since June 2021, Mary has previously held significant roles at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, including Senior Director of Finance for the Foundation, where oversight of financial operations and philanthropic funds was a key responsibility. Notable achievements include contributing to a project that improved the hospital’s financial position by $100 million, along with earlier experience as a Cash Manager at Arthur Andersen LLP. Mary holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame, obtained in 1995.

The Greater Chicago Food Depository, Chicago’s food bank, believes a healthy community starts with food.
