Michael DeMeyer has a diverse background in community engagement and healthcare, currently serving as a Board Member for Faith Feeds, where efforts focus on securing donations and managing food drives while overseeing social media and public relations. Additionally, as a Food Equity Ambassador for Greater Chicago Food Depository, Michael advocates against food insecurity through community mobilization. Previous experience includes roles as a Billing Assistant at HealthPRO® Rehabilitation, where key performance indicators were developed, and as a Marketing Consultant for a healthcare startup. Michael also has a strong research background, having led investigations on Ritalin and cocaine withdrawal at Rosalind Franklin University and studied genetic influences on anxiety behaviors at the University of Chicago. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in Healthcare Administration and Management from Rosalind Franklin University and a Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
