Debbie Berry has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Debbie began their career as a Traffic Engineer at Traff-Pro Consultants in 1996. From there, they worked as a Lakefront Plan Manager for the City of Cleveland until 2006. In 2006, they joined University Circle Inc. as the VP of Planning & Real Estate Development, a role they held until March 2022. During their time at University Circle Inc., they also served as a Vice Chair at Build Up Greater Cleveland from 2008 to 2019. Debbie has also been involved in various board positions, including the Cleveland Hearing and Speech Center, ParkWorks, and the District One Public Works Integrating Committee. In 2011, they became a Director at Women in Transportation, and they were a Commissioner at Cleveland Metroparks starting from 2012. Most recently, they have taken on the role of SVP Major Projects & Real Estate Development at the Greater Cleveland Partnership starting in March 2022.
Debbie Berry holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University, which they earned between the years 1987 and 1991. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Science in Transportation Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin from 1994 to 1996.
