Marie Bat

Marie Cushman is an experienced professional in nonprofit management and research, currently serving as a Scholarships Associate at the Greater Houston Community Foundation since June 2021. Previously, Marie held the position of Research Manager at the Child Welfare Capstone of The Bush School, where collaboration with the capstone team focused on researching service provision for foster youth in Texas. Marie's prior roles at the Greater Houston Community Foundation include managing the Harris County COVID Relief Fund as a consultant and interning on the Understanding Houston project, where key data analysis and grant proposal development were essential contributions. Marie's leadership experience is highlighted through roles at Delta Gamma, including Eta Gamma President and VP Foundation, where significant fundraising and community service initiatives were implemented. Marie holds a Master’s degree in Public Service and Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Business from Texas A&M University.
