Joe Crolla

Joe Crolla is an experienced professional in skills management and employer engagement, currently serving as Acting Principal Skills Manager at Greater Manchester Combined Authority since September 2020. In this role, Joe leads the development of the evidence base for Education, Work, and Skills policy through sector-based insights, fostering relationships across the GM ecosystem to drive strategic objectives. Previously, Joe held the positions of Industry Skills Intelligence Lead and Industry Skills Intelligence Officer at GMCA, focusing on understanding the skills base and addressing gaps in Greater Manchester. Joe has also worked as an Account Manager at The Manufacturing Institute, a Workforce Development Advisor at The Growth Company, and a Business Adviser at Kaplan UK, with a strong background in designing training and recruitment programs. Joe holds a Master of Arts (MA) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Philosophy from the University of Leeds.
