Ian Read

Ian Read has extensive experience in fire and rescue services and engineering. Since April 2012, Ian has served as a Watch Commander at Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service, responsible for all aspects of fire and rescue operations, as well as providing fire safety advice to the public. Prior to this, Ian worked as a Heating Engineer at William Hargreaves from September 1989 to March 1998, where responsibilities included installing full central heating and bathrooms in domestic properties, as well as handling steel heating installations in hotels. Ian completed education at Canon Slade School in Bolton.
