Chris Sykes

Chris Sykes has been with Greater Manchester Police since October 1994, holding various leadership positions including Assistant Chief Constable overseeing the Force Contact, Crime and Operations Branch as well as Local Policing initiatives. Prior roles include Chief Superintendent in charge of Local Policing and Criminal Justice, Temporary Chief Superintendent, Superintendent, and Chief Inspector in the Oldham District. Additionally, Chris Sykes served as Seconded Head of Service for Community Safety Services at Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council from July 2009 to March 2011. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business and Management Studies from The University of Salford, obtained between 1991 and 1994, and attendance at Heckmondwike Grammar School from 1984 to 1991.
