Vice President, Strategic Initiatives at Greater MSP

Matthew Lewis has a diverse work experience ranging from strategic initiatives to marketing consulting. Matthew most recently served as the Vice President, Strategic Initiatives at GREATER MSP, where they began in May 2019. Prior to that, they were the Director of Make It. MSP. from March 2017 to May 2019. Before joining GREATER MSP, Matthew worked as a Strategy Manager and Strategy Consultant, both at GREATER MSP, from January 2015 to March 2017 and August 2014 to January 2015, respectively. Matthew also worked as a Marketing Consultant at Carlson Brand Enterprise from March 2013 to May 2014. Matthew began their career as a State Affairs Intern at Xcel Energy in June 2012 and later served as a Press Secretary for Tom Horner for Governor from April 2010 to November 2010. Matthew has also worked as a Staff Writer at The Center for Public Integrity from July 2008 to April 2010 and as a Researcher/Editor at The Fund for Independence in Journalism from May 2007 to June 2008.

Matthew Lewis completed their Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2003 to 2006. Matthew then pursued further education, completing a Master's degree in Public Policy, Nonprofit and Public Leadership and Development at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs from 2011 to 2014. In the same period, they also attained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a specialization in Marketing from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management.
