Peter Frosch has a diverse work experience spanning from 2003 to the present. Peter started their career as the Director of the Environmental Policy Program at the Minnesota Environmental Initiative, where they successfully led new business development efforts and increased revenue. Peter also played a key role in the design and management of the Clean Water Legacy initiative, resulting in the first-in-the-nation state constitutional amendment to restore water quality.
In 2006, Peter joined the US House of Representatives as the Legislative Director for Rep. Betty McCollum. In this role, they were responsible for managing the office and its staff, as well as formulating long-term strategies, engaging in legislative negotiations, and building coalitions. Peter successfully secured federal investments in local economic development priorities, such as the Central Corridor Light Rail and the Saint Paul Union Depot.
Since 2013, Peter has held various positions at GREATER MSP (Minneapolis - Saint Paul Regional Economic Development Partnership). Peter started as the Senior Vice President of Strategy & Partnerships and Chief of Staff, where they led the implementation of the region's economic development strategy and drove excellence across the organization. Currently, they serve as the Chief Executive Officer, overseeing the overall strategy and vision of GREATER MSP. Peter works closely with the Board of Directors and key stakeholders to promote the region and drive business attraction and retention, while also partnering with industry, higher education, and public sector organizations to foster job growth and establish GREATER MSP as a globally recognized organization.
Peter Frosch has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and American Studies from Northwestern University. Peter also holds a Master of Arts degree in International Relations from Dublin City University. Specific start and end years for both degrees are not provided.
