William Cummings

IT Camp Instructor at Greater Nashville Technology Council

William Cummings has a diverse work experience spanning various fields. William started their career as a Substitute Teacher at Metro Nashville Public Schools in 2004 and later became a Paraprofessional in 2018, where they assisted teachers with classroom instruction and provided individual attention to students. In 2017, William worked as an IT Camp Instructor at Nashville Technology Council, teaching high school students IT skills and organizing weekly field trips to IT companies. Since 2001, they have also been the President/Head Coach of Nashville Burners Youth Basketball Inc., a non-profit organization where they teach basketball skills to boys aged 8-15. Additionally, they founded B3 Basketball Skills Training in 2012, where they serve as the President and Basketball Trainer. Prior to that, William volunteered as a Data Entry Volunteer at Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee from 2011 to 2012.

William Cummings completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Business Information Systems from Tennessee State University, where they studied from 2000 to 2008. William pursued further education in the field of computer learning by attending New Horizons Computer Learning Center from 2010 to 2011, earning certifications in A+, Security+, and Network+. Additionally, in September 2017, they obtained a certification in JavaScript, although the institution from which they received it is unknown.
