Greater Nelson Economic Development (GNED) is a highly-effective collaboration between the City of Nelson, Regional District of Central Kootenay Areas E & F, Nelson & District Chamber of Commerce and Community Futures Central Kootenay. 

Since 2005, we've been working together to foster economic growth and address the unique needs of our community in the Nelson area. 

Our strength lies in our coordinated approach and strong relationships. We are able to streamline our efforts in pursuing local economic development opportunities, unite to solve challenges and drive growth. As a partnership, we are efficient and effective.

GNED has an advisory committee that brings together business owners from various sectors, local government funders, academia as well as nonprofits that represent sectors and/or provide business development services. This ensures that a wide variety of voices are heard and we’re addressing issues that matter most to our community.
