Christine LeBlanc is a board member at Greater New Bedford Regional Refuse Management District. Christine has over 30 years of experience in environmental engineering, with a focus on hazardous waste site remediation.

Christine began their career in 1983 as Section Chief for Emergency Response and Hazardous Waste Sites for the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the cleanup of hazardous waste sites and responding to environmental emergencies.

In 1986, Christine left the Department of Environmental Protection to join GHR Engineering, Inc. as a project manager. At GHR Engineering, they managed environmental remediation projects involving a variety of contaminants, including radioactive wastes, metals, volatile organic compounds, and petroleum hydrocarbons.

In 1990, Christine left GHR Engineering to join SAIC Engineering, Inc. as a project manager. Christine managed multi-media site investigations and chemical contaminant identification at uncontrolled hazardous waste facilities around the country. Christine also evaluated remedial technologies for various hazardous waste sites.

After three years at SAIC Engineering, Christine left to join East Coast Engineering, Inc., where they served as a project manager for several years. In their current role as board member at Greater New Bedford Regional Refuse Management District, Christine is responsible for overseeing the district's solid waste management program.

Christine LeBlanc has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Christine is certified from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Mass. Solid Waste Management -Third Party Inspector, OSHA in OSHA Construction Safety Professional, and Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Licensed Site Professional.
